The Bob Jones Trail is getting a “facelift” including tree trimming and resurfacing.
The Bob Jones City to the Sea Trail is a trail along the San Luis Obispo Creek.
The current section of trail is paved and provides a great trip for runners, walkers, and bike riders through wooded areas and the golf course.
Sections of the trail have been closed over the past 2 weeks.
Today they were paving part of the trail by the creek in Avila by the Woodside Deli.

Bob Jones Trail Length: 1.5 miles from the Ontario Rd parking lot to Avila Beach
Location: Between Avila Beach and US101
Level: Easy
Activities: Walking, Running, Biking, Skating,
Exit US101 at Avila Beach and head West. Turn right on Ontario Rd. A parking area is available at the trail head.
The Bob Jones Trail trail is used by locals and visitors alike.
All age groups of parents, kids, seniors, enjoy the use of this quiet
trail along the creek. What a great place to enjoy the local ambiance.
There are all sorts of wildlife that can be seen along the trail and in the creek, birds, ducks, fish, turtles.
Some sections of the trail have been reopened. The “word on the trail” is that the whole trail will be open again by the weekend.
The Bob Jones Trail is a great asset to our local area!
